02 · Capabilities
Compare the work, not the feature count
Use the same patient journey and ask both teams to demonstrate every handoff.
One patient record across registration, queue, consultation, prescription, billing and follow-up.
Practo Ray publicly describes appointments, patient records, billing, reminders and follow-up communication in its cloud product.
CliniKite supports clinic-owned appointments, reminders and follow-up. It is not a patient marketplace.
Practo separates Ray practice management from patient discovery products such as Practo Profile and Prime. Confirm the exact bundle being proposed.
Clinical pharmacy connects the approved prescription to dispensing. Intelligence and On-Premise add retail pharmacy depth.
Practo's public help centre lists inventory and diagnostic-lab modules. Ask for the exact Ray plan and demonstrate the clinic's dispensing flow.
Managed Indian cloud or On-Premise, with the primary database, credentials and keys held at the clinic.
Ray is offered as a cloud subscription. Practo publishes security and migration information; request a complete export example and current terms.
Core is ₹899 per clinic each month and Intelligence is ₹2,499 per clinic each month, plus GST. On-Premise is scoped separately.
Practo offers a free trial and paid Ray subscriptions. Request current plan pricing, Prime or Profile fees, messaging charges and migration scope in one sheet.
Run one patient from arrival to prescription, dispensing, payment and follow-up, then inspect the export and role boundaries.
Demonstrate the same patient in Ray, then show which Practo services are separate subscriptions and what leaves with the clinic on export.
03 · Cost
Put every cost on the same sheet
Subscription, implementation, add-ons, usage, support, migration and exit all belong in the annual total.
Published clinic-level starting prices
- Core
- ₹899 per clinic / month + GST
- Intelligence

- On-Premise
- Custom deployment scope
Build the comparable annual total
Ray is subscription based, but the reviewed public overview does not expose a simple plan price. Ask for Ray, Prime, Profile, messaging and implementation costs separately.
- Confirm the exact plan and included roles
- Separate implementation and migration
- Price messages, storage and integrations
- Record renewal and export terms
Prices and plan scope can change. Recheck every commercial term directly with each vendor before purchase.
04 · Trade-offs
Where each product can make sense
A credible comparison should make the reason to choose either product easy to explain.
CliniKite is likely the stronger fit when
- Connected front-desk, consultation, pharmacy, billing and follow-up workflow
- Published clinic-level pricing before the sales conversation
- A genuine On-Premise route for clinics that require local control
- Doctor review remains explicit before AI-assisted clinical content becomes part of the record
Practo Ray may be the better fit when
- Established appointment, EMR, billing and patient-communication workflows
- Access to the wider Practo provider platform and patient-facing services
- Large public help library covering Ray modules and setup
05 · Detailed analysis
The questions behind the verdict
Use these notes as a working sheet during demos, pricing calls and migration planning.
Start with the constraint
A new practice may care most about being discovered by patients. An established clinic may already have demand and care more about queue flow, prescriptions, pharmacy, billing and data control.
Ask whether the commercial model grows with doctor count, booking volume, messages or branches. A headline subscription does not tell the whole story.
Questions for the same sheet
Where does a patient record begin? Can the front desk find a returning patient? Does the doctor work from longitudinal context? Can a pharmacist open the approved prescription? Can the owner reconcile payments and stock? Can the clinic export its records?
- Patient discovery and booking source
- Clinic-owned patient record
- Prescription, pharmacy and billing handoff
- WhatsApp and message charges
- Role-based access
- Migration and exit terms
Where CliniKite fits
CliniKite is built around the connected clinic day. Its strength is the path after arrival: appointments, queue, consultation, prescription, pharmacy, billing and follow-up on one record.
Ask both vendors to demonstrate the same patient journey. A fair comparison includes the work between the booking and the next visit.
Compare the patient acquisition layer separately
Practo Ray may be evaluated in the context of the Practo ecosystem and patient discovery. That can matter to a new practice that needs visibility or wants booking demand from an external marketplace. It is a different question from how the clinic operates a patient who has already arrived through a referral, phone call or walk-in.
Put the source of the booking in the comparison sheet, then continue the same patient through registration, queue, consultation, prescription, pharmacy, payment and follow-up. A marketplace benefit should be measured beside the operational work it creates, not treated as a replacement for that work.
Ask for evidence at the plan level
Request current first-party pricing, the exact plan name, user or doctor limits, booking or commission terms, message charges, export format, support scope and data retention. Save the page date and the person who confirmed it. A comparison written from an old review is not evidence of today's product.
Run a live patient journey in both products. Ask whether the same patient identity is used across visits, whether a pharmacist sees an approved prescription and whether the owner can reconcile a payment to the visit. The comparison should record what was demonstrated and what still needs written confirmation.
Where CliniKite is the stronger fit
CliniKite is built around the work after arrival. Core connects appointments, queue, clinical record, prescriptions, billing and essential communication. Intelligence adds Ambient Scribe, report processing, AI WhatsApp and Care Loops. On-Premise gives clinics a local deployment route when control of the primary database is the priority.
That does not make it the right answer for a clinic whose first constraint is patient acquisition. It makes the operational comparison clear. If the clinic already has demand and wants less re-entry across consultation, pharmacy and billing, test CliniKite against that daily requirement.
Make the commercial decision measurable
Estimate the value of new patient demand separately from the cost of each appointment, message, doctor, branch and operational user. Add migration, training and the staff time needed to work around a disconnected pharmacy or billing path. A marketplace can be valuable while still being the wrong system of record for the clinic.
Review this comparison quarterly and whenever either vendor changes a material plan or workflow. Keep dated evidence on the page. The purpose is a fair decision, not a permanent claim about a competitor.
How to keep the comparison honest
A competitor page should help a clinic make a decision without pretending that a snapshot is permanent truth. Keep the publication date, the evidence date and the source link near every material claim. Separate what was observed in a demo, what was confirmed on a first-party page and what still needs a written answer. Do not turn a missing public detail into a negative product claim.
Review the page when pricing, plan scope, integrations, deployment or a material workflow changes. Keep the same patient journey and the same cost worksheet for each vendor. That consistency is what makes the comparison useful. CliniKite should be held to the same standard as the other products: clear scope, visible limits and a fair account of where another option may fit better.
Publish the decision with evidence
When a clinic reaches a shortlist, make a small evidence pack for each vendor. Save the current pricing or quote, a screenshot or recording of the same patient journey, the export answer, the support answer and the unresolved questions. This pack protects the buyer when a sales conversation changes hands.
Score the products against the clinic's constraint, not against a generic idea of a perfect system. A product can be the right answer for patient acquisition and the wrong answer for pharmacy reconciliation. Another can be the right answer for a local deployment and the wrong answer for a team that needs remote access.
Keep the comparison page useful after the purchase. Record the decision date, the selected plan, the promised implementation work and the first review date. That turns a blog post into a repeatable buying discipline rather than a one-time opinion.
